Lynda organized The Painting People to provide them with a quotation for some internal painting of there house at Wahroonga. We arrived to the property and where very surprised with what we were seeing. The house was built in the a 1940′s and it really showed the age of the house due to the condition and state that it has gotten to.
Lynda had some great ideas for the place and she along with myself saw great potential in the property. She had ideas starting from the colour of paint she wanted to use down to curtain and wall paper designs.
The Painting of the internal had started some time in January 2010. It was completed by my team and I two weeks later and Ian and Lynda were both impressed with finish product. The place looked amazing.Due to this reason Lynda and Ian asked if i could provide them with a price for the external of the house , and i did.
After accepting the quote and booking in a start date, my team of painters and i arrived on site the first day with two high pressure cleaner, gum boots and our wet weather gear. We started pressure washing the exterior of the house removing all dust, dirt and flaking paint of the walls, It never ending. 4 days later the place was washed and ready for preparation.
We returned on Monday with the materials and gear and started our preparation on the house. Windows were all sanded back and putty that was missing was reapplied, rotten window seals were all dug out and re bedded with builders bog. All cracks found around the house were gap filled. Large cracks found on walls were rendered with Dulux Acxrylic Render.
After 2 weeks of preparation, it was time to start undercoating and sealing. Later that we hired the cherry picker/boom lift and started painting of the high gables, eaves, gutters and windows.
3 weeks passed and the painting of the house was completed, it was now time to start cleaning. All loose paint flakes that had fallen of the walls during the washing had been picked up with the blower vacuum, all glass windows scrapped clean and all plants returned to their original spot.
Clients were great to work for and the job had been handed over leaving nothing but smiles on all our faces.
Total job value $54,725.00
