When Jason White was looking for Roof Painters in Sydney, He came across The Painting People website and contacted us to organize a quote.
Jason had intensions on painting the roof tiles of his house along with the eaves, fascia boards and gutters. This is why he had choosen us above our competitors, not only because our price was very competitive, but also it meant that he could deal with one company to respray his roof tile and paint his house.
When planning on getting a roof repaint and a repaint on the external of your house, you can save thousand of dollars just by dealing with the one company that provides both services like we do.
The job was not a straight forward repaint it involved , replacment of 250 broken tiles, laying of new lead flashing to all four gables, repointing of ridge capping and applying a flexi point to all capping.
Once these steps had been completed it was then ready to be pressure cleaned using our high pressure washers.Once the roof was cleaned down the next step was to clean the driveways, fences, foot paths and guttes as they had been over sprayed with all the dirt which had come of the roof.
The following day we returned to apply o high build sealer to the entire roof and allowing it to dry over night.
The final step in this roof restoration process was to apply two coats of Dulux Roof Membrane 968 in charcol colour.
You can cleary see the before and after photos of the project below.

Glenys contacted The Painting People after a friend of her’s recommended us to due the great service we provided for them.
Her house is located in Myola Rd, Newport a great location with ocean views yet was in desperate need of some TLC.
The exterior weather boards of the house were in poor condition and they were flaking and peeling all over. Her house had not been painted for 10 years and you colud say that paint will last a decade if the prepeartion wasa done correctly, but not in this case. Her house was stained and not painted. The difference there is that staining of any exterior timber should br refreshed no mlater than 5 years as the exterior staining product deteriorates alot quiker as it is not as uv resistant to the sun as the Dulux And Wattyl paint.
The first step we under took on the job was to apply a solution that will remove all the dirt out of the cracks and splits that were in the timber. So using gloves and hard bristle brroms we srubbed the timber panel down one by one allowing it than to sit for a few hours after returning and pressure washing it clean. This method was used right throughout the exterior of the house.
After washing was completed the next step was to allow the timber to fully dry, which meant leaving it for a few days. The team of painters and i returned to the property two days later and began sanding back the timber with eletric sanders using coarse sand paper and finishing of with very fine paper ensuring surface was left smooth and flawless.
The next process after this was to apply the Sikkens HLS. hls A highly water repellent penetrating low build transparent wood stain used as a base coat under Supernatural, Filter 7, Cetol TGL and Cetol Deck/Plus. Also Available in ten pigmented colours
After apply the Hls and leaving it to cure and dry it was time to apply the first coat of Sikkens Filter 7 Plus. This product is a exterior satin wood stain with excellent durability, resistance to UV- radiation, which results in a flexible and longer lasting coating. The features of this product is its water resistant, water repellant, easy application, and has no dirt pich up.
After applying two coats of the Filter 7 Plus we are left with stunning free standing weather board house as shown in the pictures below.
